EXISTENCE
Assembly of Social Mobilization is established in the year 2002 in Sri Lanka.
Creating a Centre of attention among different stake holders at district, regional and national levels for Net working for research, advocacy and strengthening of CBOs, Facilitating Reconciliation and Restoration, Supporting Vulnerable and Marginalized Groups, Disaster Risk Reduction, Campaigning for HIV Prevention and Training & Education outreach
Currently lobbying for people friendly policies and establishment of rural networks for grass root actions collaborate/partner with LNGOs and INGOs
Strengthening the community based organizations for sustainability through implementing training on Local Fundraising, Mobilizing Support and Social Accountability partner with International Non Governmental Organization as Change the Game Academy/Wilde Ganzen Foundation Netherelands.

LEGITIMACY
Assembly of Social Mobilization is a non-political, secular, not for profit organized social entity that is registered under ACT No 31 of 1980 as a voluntary service organization registered number KI|DS|VSSO|26 and act no 7 of 2007 as a non-profit entity registered number GA 2202 in the Democratic socialist republic of Sri Lanka.
